What is Embrace Funeral’s role in the repatriation funeral service?

For repatriation from Singapore

1. Collect the body for embalming and encoffining, ensuring that all necessary documentation is in order and that the coffin export permit has been obtained.

2. Manage the logistics of moving the body back to the home country, including arranging for transportation and booking appropriate accommodations for the bereaved family.

3. Coordinate all necessary flight arrangements, working closely with funeral directors and other key stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition from abroad back to the home country.

The documents required for this process will need to be approved by the consulate authorities in Singapore. We can help with all of the paperwork and planning needed to get your loved one home.

The documents typically required are as follows:

  • Death Certificate
  • Sealing Certificate for the coffin
  • Embalming Certificate
  • Coffin Export Permit
  • Air Waybill (if by air transportation)

A few specific documents are needed before we can transport your loved one's body back home if they pass away overseas. The documents must be endorsed by the Singapore Embassy in the country where they passed.

 

  • Death Certificate issued by country where death happened (Certificate has to be translated into English if it is in other languages)
  • Sealing Certificate for the coffin
  • Embalming Certificate
  • Coffin Export Permit from country exporting the body
  • Air Waybill (if by air transportation)
