Taoist Funeral Rites, Traditions and Customs

Taoists’ strongly relate death with transformation and immortality. The rituals and procedures conducted also vary between different dialect groups i.e. Teochew, Hokkien, Hakka, Cantonese and Hainanese.

Despite the differences, the concept underlying the principle of filial piety continually revolves around them as part of their customs and traditions. This is with the belief that the deceased will be forgiven for their sins that they committed previously and help them achieve a smooth journey.

Our Taoist funeral package starts from $8,288. A Taoist funeral package can range depending on the number of days (3, 5, or 7 days) or where the funeral is being held. There will be a price difference in the Taoist funeral package if the funeral is held at a void deck, or at a funeral parlour. Funeral parlours may additionally charge between $650 - $1800 per night.
